Potty Progress

It's been 11 days since we officially started the potty training process with Johny.  The first two days were a disaster, lol.  He didn't cooperate whatsoever.  On the third day he started getting the hang of it but not without a bit of a fuss.  This is his rewards chart that he is so happy about.  He got 10 stars on his first week :-)  Although all from pee pee, none from # 2.  He still doesn't want to poop in the potty.  We think he's shy about that part, but we know eventually he will come along.  Definitely patience is a big part of this training especially when you ask if they want to go pee pee and they say no and 30 seconds later they relieve themselves on their bed, lol.  
We know that his potty training will be a bit more challenging since he is being trained at my mom's house and at home, so 2 different ways of handling the situation as oppose to the stay at home parents, where the child will get accustomed quicker.  As long as he is trained before his little brother comes, it's all good :-D

Potty Training

I been having serious issues starting the potty training process for Johnny, he just turned two in December and Jasmin has been pressuring me every single day to train him. Besides the fact that I have been extremely busy trying to release a single for this ministry I am working with, I have not hit reality that my little baby is growing. I feel like it was just yesterday when I saw his little head with slimy stuff coming out of my wife’s womb and now he needs to start learning how to do poopoo and peepee all by himself? What is next school? I will not lie, I have taken advantage of these years, but I think he is growing too fast. I would never thought this was going to be hard, it’s like detaching something so wonderful filled of daily joy from your life. Its amazing all the joy that he brings daily, from him waking up calling me dad to saying good night momma poppa to welcoming with a big hug and a kiss when I get home from the studio. Playing peek-a-boo and listening to his beautiful voice calling ah-train (chu-chu), ah-car, ah-truck, calling water WAH WAH and many other things that If I keep typing I will cry like the first day I saw him.
I know I need to buckle up and realize he is growing, after all we are planning on having three more little ones that will capture my heart as well. So, let the potty begin ! jejejeje

Lent Journey

Today is the first day of lent (ash Wednesday) and this year our family has decided to take it seriously, as we feel that for the past years we have commemorate the Liturgical season but haven’t taken the time to fast and live lent as it should be. This year we really want to walk with Jesus, we want to take this time to make some changes in our lives, changes that wont last until Easter Sunday but for the rest of our lives. We encourage you to follow us in this journey. So many people follow different type of negativities in this world so why not follow something that will bring happiness to your soul. You might be asking your self how? It's simple, lent is a season of reflection on the passion of our Lord Jesus, a season to stop something in your life that its almost impossible to stop. For instance, for me it's is music, computer, blackberry, rice, and coffee so this year I will sacrifice one of the mentioned things and offer it to the Lord for His spirituality and salvation. I am sure you have something that you cannot live without! Just think about it and let it go AT LEAST until Easter Sunday. Of course, is not about just letting something go and that is it. These sacrifices have to follow up with prayer as well, otherwise you will just get used to letting something go and start liking something else.

May this lent bring us closer to God, may we die in the cross and resurrect with Him on Easter Sunday and after that continue to be examples of His image. Blessings!
